Good company

St. Augustine famously heard a child sing-songing Tolle lege, took up the Bible, and randomly read Romans 13:13 — whereupon all doubts disappeared and he who formerly found the Bible base and vulgar (which the Latin translation at the time certainly was) became convinced that it was inspired and life-changing.

My own dubious logical leaps from Calvinist to Orthodox somehow seem less embarrassing now.
