I had already sworn off my occasional parroting of “cultural Marxism” (because it seemed to be a lazy mental shortcut — a shotgun rather than a rifle).
Now, I have encountered a seemingly well-informed critique that conservative use of the term is tainted by connection to a racist/antisemitic conspiracy theory promulgated by William S. Lind, who I have read and whose use of the term is consistent with that characterization.
That’s my personal take-away. Read the article yourself, if you’re interested, because you could take away something else.
P.S.: Oh, yeah: “Cultural Marxism” showed up in the online manifestos of the Christchurch, NZ and Powly, CA synagogue terrorists.
