World Series impressions
I watched the World Series through the top of the 6th last night. That included all scoring.
Impressions:
- The world now runs on hype. Good plays got unearned superlatives.
- Part of the hype is meaningless statistics facilitated by computers. E.g., Whasisface Sosa being the Xth guy to commit a World Series error on his birthday.
- The Nats have a really nasty corner in left field.
- I forget his name and team, but one guy impressively altered his swing to hit the ball pretty much exactly where he wanted it in center-left. That may have been the best play, by my uninformed lights, all night. But then I was a miserable hitter.
