A thesis I will not dismiss

For the record, I think the jury is still out on whether Trump is worse than Bush.

Farhad Manjoo

Several times, I skipped Manjoo’s New York Times Op-Ed column, though it continued staring at me from the screen, day after day. Then I almost stopped at the above-quoted inanity early in the column.

But I persevered, intent on learning why Manjoo thinks President Tucker Carlson would make him nostalgic for the good old days of Donald Trump.

In a nutshell, it’s because he thinks Carlson is a cunning white nationalist and would be more competent than Trump in realizing white nationalism as policy.

I will not dismiss that as inane because I won’t take the time Manjoo has taken to obsessively watch Carlson’s nightly TV schtick.
