Reading Playboy for the articles
There has been much talk since Thursday about how Christianity Today has alienated its audience, misunderstood the pro-Trump case, and will suffer subscription loss.
Let me just add the codicil that First Things is rapidly moving into an explicitly pro-Trump posture that is concerning to me and some more-or-less-random social media friends (on the very congenial micro.blog). It may lose my subscription, not in protest but simply as a matter of “how much garbage must I wade through to find food” — which perfectly echoes what my Dad said when I claimed to read Playboy for the articles.
