A faltering start back from the brink

Glory be! Rod Dreher, bless his equivocating heart, is starting to see the light again!

What a disgraceful boob. You regular readers know how much I fear for religious liberty in the coming soft totalitarianism, so I don’t say this lightly. There is something worse than having a Democratic president appoint judges for four years, and that’s having a man-child in charge of the federal government during a national crisis unprecedented in living memory. The unseriousness of this man, in this time, is utterly infuriating, and demoralizing.

What Rod doesn’t yet get is that it’s worse than “unseriousness” of a “man-child.”

Trump is a toxic narcissist, who has made a career of narcissistic self-promotion. It’s to the point where he cannot help himself. He will never change. He will never say “the sinner’s prayer” (if his bizarre spiritual advisor prescribes it) without one eye on the camera and the polls.

But we can vote him out.
