Damned if you do …

Having failed to prove that the Trump campaign had unlawful dealings with Russia during the 2016 campaign, the dishonest caucus of the anti-Trump party (of which party, but not caucus, I am a member) has turned to saying that Attorney General Barr overstated the extent of the exoneration when summarizing Mueller’s report before the redacted version was released.

It’s kind of like when you’ve committed no crime, but they’re out to get you so they get you to lie about something embarrassing but not criminal, and then charge you with the lie.

It’s like that except for the part where there may well be no lie, regardless of what one judge said in a gratuitous swipe.
